Milí hráči, přátelé, kamarádi,
do Fantasy tábora 2014 sice zbývá ještě více než sedm měsíců, přesto bychom vám již teď chtěli k Novému roku nadělit první informace k této velkolepé události. Letos se totiž opravu máme na co těšit (podržte se, bude to bomba).

Podařilo se nám něco zcela nevídaného, totiž navázat spolupráci s univerzitou vOxfordu
a přihlásit náš tábor do unikátního projektu Výzkum studia Angličtiny jako druhého jazyka
u středně pokročilých až pkročilých mluvčích jiných indoevropských jazyků (An Analysis of the Study of English as L2 in Intermediate and Advanced Speakers of Other Indoeuropean Languages). Pro jistotu hned v úvodu upozorňujeme, že zapojení se do tohoto projektu bude znamenat jisté nepatrné změny, týkající se zejména běhu tábora:

• Celá hra bude probíhat v angličtině. Věříme, že všichni jistě ocení příležitost pořádně si zaspeakovat i během prázdnin.
• Kromě historie postavy budeme letos vyžadovat vaše CV s informacemi o studiu Angličtiny, dalších jazyků a dlouhodobých pobytech v zahraničí.
• Každý druhý večer se skupiny hráčů (rodělíme se podle frakcí) zúčastní strukturovaného rozhovoru s týmem lingvistů z Oxfordské univerzity, aby mohli posbírat data potřebná pro výzkum.
• Než pojedete na tábor, je třeba vyplnit krátký monitorovací test vašich znalostí angličtiny (120 otázek, časový limit 60 minut)
• Tábor se bude oficiálně jmenovat Fantasy Camp: L2 Acquision Research Project, aby byl jasně identifikovatelný jako součást projektu.

Vězte ovšem, že tyto drobnosti budou bohatě vyváženy hrncem výhod, které z naší spolupráce
s Oxfordem plynou:

• Díky financování projektu z fondů EU se cena tábora sníží pro každého účastníka o celých 72 Kč, pro pět nejúspěšnějších řešitelů monitorovacího testu (viz výše) dokoce o 98 Kč.
• Každé odpoledne se bude podávat čaj o páté a sušenky. (Upozorňujeme, že během čaje o páté je zapovězeno používat americký přízvuk, který se jinak v průběhu tábora toleruje s tím, že postavy mluvící s americkým přízvukem nesmí být herně šlechtici a agónii mají zkrácenou na polovinu).
• Jako odměnu za naši účast na projektu obdržíme slovník Oxford Advanced Learner´s Dictionary. (Na táboře vypracujeme rozpis toho, jak si slovník budeme v průběhu dalšího roku půjčovat.)
• Desetičlenný tým lingvistů se během hry zapojí jako CP, takže věru bude do koho řezat.

A nyní k tomu, co nás všechny samozřejmě zajímá nejvíc – totiž setting a příběh. Aby byla dodržena metodologie projektu, musíme si vybrat jeden ze settingů navržený Oxfordskou univerzitou. Všechny settingy jsou inspirovány historií angličtiny, ale nebojte, mají tam fakt pecky. Z deseti navrhovaných settingů jsme vybrali tři, které lze podle našeho názoru použít na fantasy, a vám dáváme jedinečnou příležitost podílet se na finálním výběru. • Smrt pana Konjunktiva (The Death of Mr Subjunctive) – Propracovaný apokalyptický příběh s detektivními motivy.
• Záhada velkého samohláskového posunu (The Mysterious Great Vowel Shift) – Válečný alegorický larpík odehrávající se na hranicích Dlouhosamohláskie (Long vowels realm) a Krátkosamohláskie (Short vowels realm).
• Vikingská výzva (The Vikings’ challenge) – Převážně konverzační larp, který vtipnou a zábavnou formou řeší proměny angličtiny pod vlivem jejího styku se starou severštinou.

Jak vidíte, opravdu máme z čeho vybírat. Těšíme se na vaše nadšené reakce a ohlasy a věříme, že na Fantasy Camp: L2 Acquisition Research Project budete ještě dlouho vzpomínat.

Wee have man itched something un-pre-cent-dented – wee maid contact with the Unversity of Oxford and get our camp involved in the u-nick project An Analysis of the Study of English as L2 in Intermediate and Advanced Speakers of Other Indoeuropean Languages . We had better stress right at the beginning that dis is gonna have several slight imp acts :

• All communication will be ex-cluesively in English . Wee be leave that everyone will appreshiate the o-port-tunity to in joy speaking English due ring the holidays.
• Be sides you char actor history, your CV will be required, containing in formation on your study of English and long-term stays abroad.
• Once in every too days, groups of players (based on guilts) will particip ate on a structured interview with the Oxford research teemof linguists so that day can collect data for the research.
